My blog of things and thoughts
Yesterday I had some feedback from brides that booked me for their weddings this summer.
The first was when I bumped into Claire at Reading Town Hall. Claire booked me to entertain the guests at her wedding in August near Reading, and meeting her gave me a chance to have a quick chat. I was booked to perform close-up magic after the the ceremony whilst Claire and Paul were having their photographs taken.
It was great to hear from Claire that the feedback she got from her guests was very positive and although entertained the guests at the time, it created a talking point for the rest of the day. Although I know I do a good job entertaining it is nice to know that bride and groom (who barely have an opportunity to see much of it themselves on the day) had a good response to it from their guests.
Claire is in the process of setting up her own business as a wedding and events organiser and she said she will definitely be recommending me highly to all of her future clients.
Second feedback was an email from Anne and Peter. They got married at the beginning of September and for their wedding I entertained in the evening. This was after the meal and speeches when all the guests were ushered into the bar and garden area so the hotel staff could clear the tables and the band and disco could set their equipment. This worked well and kept the attention of the guests, and what started as close-up magic in the bar ended up being an impromptu cabaret show as over half the guests were gathered around me in the garden area whilst I attempted (and succeeded) in reading the minds of the newly married couple!
Hi Robert,
This is a quick email to say a big thank you for the performance at our wedding on the 2nd September. You were flexible and great. Everyone was following you about and they were mesmorised!!
with kind regards,Anne and Peter
