My blog of things and thoughts

You probably aren't aware (not even google is aware) that I have a news page on my website. I could put more things on it, however it isn't updated quite as often as the news section of the BBC website because;

• Not much happens that is very newsworthy,
• When something does happen and I mention it amateur magicians on twitter think I'm showing off. I'm not, it's just that they don't like someone who's actually got the balls to get on and do what they want to do in life whilst they cling to the security of the job they hate, but will never leave,
• The amateur "professional" magicians (ie, the ones with the homemade website who do a couple of cheap gigs but whose feet are firmly planted in that job they hate but would never admit to that) would nick the ideas.

However, things that I thought I would bring to the wider audience are:

A list of all the wedding fairs I am booked to perform magic at in Berkshire and Hampshire this autumn.

and

A show that I am putting on at New Greenham Arts, Newbury on Wednesday 7th September 2011.

This is being filmed so obviously would prefer to have "normal" people, and not magicians who will just sit there with their arms folded. Saying that, I've still got to pay for the venue so why not book a ticket? If you know how a trick is done they you'll know when to clap. Simple.

Those of you are up on the latest marketing techniques will notice the new method I'm using; cynicism. Try it yourself. Go on, you know you want to. If I tell you not to you'll only want to use it even more.
