Following on from my last entry about perform magic at a 50th birthday party in Highclere, near Newbury, I received an email from Geraldine thanking me for performing for her guests.

Hi Robert,

Just wanted to thank you for the entertainment you provided this weekend. A lot of people have said how much they enjoyed it and my kids are still trying to work out how you did some of the tricks – and failing!

It all added to the fun of the evening and I hope you continue to be successful in your endeavours as an entertainer.

I'll quickly point at that the "kids" that Geraldine talks of were teenagers and have been watching the likes of Dynamo and Derren Brown recetnly on TV, and weren't quite expecting to see the sort of thing they assumed were camera tricks to happen right in front of them. Saying that, many of the adults weren't expecting it either!
