Got a nice email from a couple whom I entertained (and all their guests!) a few weekends ago at their civil partnership in Hook, north Hampshire. It was a really good day and the happy couple took great delight in me freaking their guests out - even pointing out the odd one or two who were a little sceptical.

One of the highlights for me was one of the guests (who shall remain nameless) who ended up being the 'straight-man' in an impromptu double-act, which resulted in tears of laughter from the table I was entertaining. Actually, I hope he was acting...!

You recently performed at our civil partnership at the Hook House Hotel. I just wanted to say thank you and to say our guests were blown away by you.

You really left so many of them wondering.  Thank you so much again and I can say I will be recommending you far and wide.

Coincidentally I saw one of the guests at another wedding near Reading the following weekend, I knew that I must have made an impact at Helen and Jacky's because they not only remembered that I was the magician, but also remembered my name.
