Performing Magic in Manchester
09 September 2010
Yesterday I travelled to Manchester (currently the furthest 'up North' I've travelled for a booking) to performing close-up magic at the 40th Anniversary of the University Engineers Association.
This was held at Albert's Shed, a venue in central Manchester, and I was booked through Assured Events, an event management company. I first met Kate and Carl from Assured Events when I exhibited at Event-UK at Birmingham NEC in September 2009.
Performing for engineers was great, because they have the sort of minds that like to work out problems, so when they witness something that they can't find a solution for their reactions are simply fantastic. As a magician it's interesting to see that moment when their brain's starts spinning and the logically part gives up!
Carl took plenty of photos, and hopefully I'll have a couple I can upload in the coming weeks.
