My blog of things and thoughts
Despite it all, I have managed to honour my commitment to do a daily blog throughout 2012, and here it is: my second daily entry. (Ignoring the fact I didn't do anything for the first two days...)
Yesterday was the first day back to work for most the country, however, for a self-employed magician, getting back to the routine is slightly less stressful. Whereas most battled the gale for winds, driving rain, cancelled trains and closed roads to spend a day sat in an office catching up on 2 weeks worth of admin, I walked the dogs, had breakfast, pottered in the office before sitting on the sofa, watching a Richard Herring DVD (and the many extras) whilst number crunching on my laptop.
What was I doing? I was planning for 2012. Just like this blog. I'm a little late on setting and starting New Year's Resolutions.
Every year I find it useful to plan what I want to achieve, and how. Sometime I hit these targets, sometimes I fail so embarrasingly it hurts. However, planning is the key to success and after contributing to Bob Yelland's latest book about marketing and business planning for magicians, I thought it wise to read the other pages in the book and attempt to action them.
I have come to the conclusion that it is unlikely I will end 2012 as a millionaire, though I'll give it a go.
