My blog of things and thoughts
The end of an era
08 March 2011
In four days time Magic Rob will hang up the magic wand for the last time, and Scruff will be able to enjoy the weekends without having my arm stuck up his you-know-where.
After five years of paying my mortgage it will be sad to say goodbye to Magic Rob, but being able to focus on performing close-up magic for adults, as well as develop my stand-up show, will allow me to take my career to the places I wanted to when I turned full-time way back in 2006.
Without boring you all, this opens new opportunities of my personal "character developement" that was potential held back by a diary full of kids parties. Magic Rob was never meant to be permanent (actually I had planned to stop last year but got too carried away) and he has been a great stepping stop to take me on to other things.
