My blog of things and thoughts
Following from a day of staring at the computer (see yesterday's witterings) I had a dinner of steamed trout and potatoes (it's been almost 2 weeks since Christmas and the cupboards are still full of Chocolate Orange's and biscuits, the healthy meal off-sets it) I drove to Reading for a Home Counties Magical Society lecture.
There are loads of magic societies across the country (not just The Magic Circle in London) and magicians meet up monthly to show each other their latest tricks they've been working, see a lecture and generally have a laugh in the pub afterwards. Tonight's lecture was given by a chap called Dave Forrest who is a creator of magic and runs his own magic shop, www.full52.com.
I've met Dave a couple times over the years and this was the second time I have seen him lecture. It was an interesting night and there were a couple of things in his lecture that I may integrate into some of my material. He's a great thinker and some of his thinking could be classed as "out of the box" - although not always outside the celophane wrapper. (That is a very niche joke).
Today is back to the making a few more tweaks on the website - more tidying up after yesterday's work than really getting down to the nuts and bolts. I've got more to do but may give that a couple of days before I go mad. This afternoon I need to finally get round to finishing a book that I'm reading, and hopefully build a plan to implement it.
Also need to finalise some proofs for some printing I need to get done soon.
