Hi,

Wow, 2010 is really flying by!  It was a year ago that I re-branded from being a "Professional Magician" to a "Demonstrator of Extra-Sensory Curiosities" to reflect my unique style.  This is proving to be a great  success, especially in the corporate area where event organisers are looking to provide their clients with a style of entertainment that is fresh and exciting.

 Different Entertainment Styles and Different Websites

Although I provisional re-vamped my website last year, my new website (www.robertbone.co.uk) is almost ready and is set to go live by the end of September.  The new website has a whole new feel to it, complimenting my style.  What really makes the site stand out is the multi-media content, including video, interactive mind-reading and audio clips, some of the content is hidden away creating a deeper multi-level experience - again, complimenting my approach to performing.

Although being a Demonstrator of Extra-Sensory Curiosities is an exciting new style some people still want a more traditional approach to magic, especially for weddings, family parties and black-tie events  For this reason I also have www.robbone.co.uk.

For those still a little confused someone once summarised the different styles by saying one is more Derren Brown, the other is more Paul Daniels.  Of course, I don't try to be either of them or copy what they do, but it's a good way to look at things.  Which would you want to perform at your event?

 

Close Up Magic at Weddings

The summer season is particularly busy as I attend many weddings.  The magic I perform is entertaining and fun to watch, as well as baffling, and is suitable for all ages and members of the family. My approach to performing involves the spectators, so it is a great way to get guests that may not know each other to help break the ice.

The magic is performed close up, and can be whilst mingling with your guests as they arrive at the reception, when you have your photographs taken or maybe going between the tables.

I do still have some availability for Weddings in the autumn, and am taking lots of enquiries and bookings for 2011, and (scarily) even confirming dates for 2012.  Although this may seem a long way off it is surprising how quickly the time can pass, and leaving it too late can mean missing out on the opportunity to book me to entertain your guests.

 Christmas Parties in 2010 (and beyond)

Now that the school holidays are over and the evenings are getting darker thoughts start turning to Christmas.

Close-up magic is a good way to turn the office Christmas party into a festive night to be remembered, and not become the regular office night out.  This is suitable for a small department lunch, corporate hospitality through to functions for the whole company.

Whether you are tasked to arranging your office night out, or you are an Event Management Executive, booking me will ensure people are still talking about the event way into the New Year.  (And you the credit for arranging it!)

Please bear in mind that December can get very busy, so please contact me as soon as you have a date set for the party.

Network of Professional Magicians

I have recently joined a network of professional magicians.  Why, and why am I telling you?

Often people leave it too late and find I am booked elsewhere, or due to the location it is impractical for me to attend.  In these situations I can find another magician who is available and able to attend the function.  Basically, I do the running around for you, and you can relax knowing you will have a quality magician to entertain your guests.

All the magicians in the network are also full-time professionals like myself, members of The Magic Circle and covered by Public Liability Insurance.
